Portable Thunderbird 2.0.0.17

Portable Thunderbird 2.0.0.17

Thunderbird supports running from removable drives with minimal reconfiguration. To make life even easier, I’ve repackaged Thunderbird as a complete, removable drive-friendly email client.

Now you can check your pop3 account everywhere you travel.

Installation / Use
To install, just download the ZIP and unzip it to the root directory of your USB drive. It will create a “thunderbird” directory and all the requisite directories underneath. To use Thunderbird on your drive, launch it with the PortableThunderbird.exe file in the thunderbird directory. DO NOT launch the thunderbird.exe file directly, as this will create a profile on your hard drive.

Upgrading
To upgrade to a newer version of Portable Thunderbird, simply backup your existing Portable Thunderbird folder (/thunderbird/ on down). Download the latest version. Then copy your profile directory from the old version to the new version. That’s all there is to it.

Vista Start Menu SE 3.01

Vista Start Menu SE 3.01

Each time you start programs from the Start menu, you use the interface that has not changed for 10 years. No wonder that it becomes more and more difficult to use it due to the increase in the number of programs…

Vista Start Menu is a completely another approach to the interface. In the process of development we were oriented towards how people perceive information and also towards the ability to remember the position of items.

All you see in the standard menu is a long list and you have to read most names in order to find the program you need.
Vista Start Menu will show only program icons. That is why it is a lot easier to find the program you need with just one glance.

Besides, in Vista Start Menu, the programs are arranged in a table visually divided into sections, which also contributes to finding what you need in no time.

With Vista Start Menu, you just open the menu and click the program icon. If you need supplemental files installed together with the program, just move the mouse pointer over the icon and you will see a submenu where you can find all you need.

Vista Start Menu retains the position of icons that is why when you install or remove programs, icons remain in their places. You do not have to spend time on looking for an icons that has “slid away” as it usually happens in the standard menu.

Requirements:

· 128 MB RAM

Process Lasso 3.08

Process Lasso 3.08

Process Lasso is a software that will improve system responsiveness and stability.

Process Lasso is a unique new technology intended to automatically restrain running processes that are consuming too many CPU cycles.

Often times, processes that are ‘out-of-control’ can bring an NT system to a near halt. Once one or more processes have become CPU resource hogs, termination of the offending process(es) is very difficult since it is nearly impossible to even open the task manager.

With Process Lasso, these processes are temporarily reduced in priority so that the system is returned to a responsive level. Process Lasso can even work when multiple processes are responsible for a decrease in system responsiveness.

In addition, Process Lasso offers capabilities such as default process priorities, termination of disallowed processes, and logging of processes executed.

Process Lasso is extremely efficient and itself has almost no CPU usage. The core engine, called the Process Governor, is separated from the GUI so that one can completely close the GUI and keep the primary functions of Process Lasso operating.

The core engine can even be run as a system service so that it starts before any user is logged in. However, the GUI itself is so optimal that we recommend leaving it running so it can quickly be accessed in times when it is needed.
